Jana Sue Akridge Jana Sue Akridge, 68, of Upton, passed away Monday, Jan. 1, 2018, at her residence. She was a native of California and a former custodian. Jana was preceded in death by her parents, Wharton Delano and Irma Odessa Olive Moore. She is survived by her husband, Dallas Akridge; three daughters, Lori Nunn of Hodgenville, Christi (Doug) Curry of Magnolia and Dani (Chris) Eversen of Sonora; four grandchildren, Natosha Nunn, Nathan Fulk, Cassidy Fulk and Jessica Skaggs; three great-grandchildren, Brylee, Jaxon and Abby; three sisters, Cheryl, Linda and Lisa; and a brother, Lee.

The funeral is at 4 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 4, at Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville. Cremation will follow. Visitation begins at 1 p.m.

He proudly served for years. During his service he received the following commendations, Bronze Star with device and Oak Clusters, Purple Heart, Air Medal, Army Good Conduct with Silver Clasp and three loops, National Defense Service Medal and the Vietnam Service Medal.
