"Danny" 77, of Springfield, died peacefully on March 24, 2015 with family by his side. "Danny" was born on June 24, 1937 to Edna Flora. He served in the Navy and then the U. S. Army and worked as a mailman for several years.

He enjoyed bonfires and cookouts with this family, fishing, casinos and old country music and loved to watch western movies and wrestling. Born on July 21, 1919 in Johnson County, KY, she was a daughter of the late Ross and Virgie (Rivers) Hannah. She married Archie E. Snipes on September 2, 1938 and he preceded her in death in 1993. Together they raised five children, all of whom survive. Daughter Elwanda Sue (Jim) Spillers of Sidney and four sons: Leroy (Evelyn) Snipes of Christiansburg; James (Cindy) Snipes of Troy; Paul (Robin) Snipes of New Carlisle; and Doug (Donna) Snipes of Troy.

She was a loving grandmother to ten grandchildren: Jeff (Mari) Snipes, Debbie (Gary) Boyd, Jody (Rich) Spears, David (Cindy) Snipes, Bryan (Shannon) Snipes, Joel Hale, Jon (Lori) Allen, Kevin (Julie) Snipes, Stephanie (Jeff) Marshall and Andrew Snipes.
