At ECMC, our PrimaryCare Physicians offer patients assistance with both prevention and treatment of acute and chronic illnesses and injuries.
Establishing relationships with PrimaryCare physicians can provide better diagnoses and treatment, and help you develop a preventive care routine to avoid getting sick in the first place.
In addition to annual exams, diagnosis of illnesses or injuries, and management of long term conditions, a primary care physician can also provide referrals for follow-up care. And as the first point of contact for patients, a primary care physician often collaborates with specialists as necessary.
We offer several options for primary care to serve our areaʼs adult population.
Many of our ECMC primary care clinics are Patient Centered Medical Homes. As Patient Centered Medical Homes, we proudly facilitate your care across the health care continuum; between other specialists, hospital services, community services, and even with your family.
Our team of healthcare professionals get to know you, your family situation, your medical history, and your current health issues to ensure that you receive the best care possible and a customized approach to keep you well.

Primary Health & Internal Medicine
Located within our main campus on Grider Street, ECMC’s Primary Health & Internal Medicine Center offers primary care services for adults in simple and complex cases alike. (Learn more »)
Family Medicine & Pediatrics
At ECMC, we offer family medicine and pediatrics at several locations for children, families, and seniors, creating one central source for preventative care, diagnosis and treatment of a variety of health issues, and annual well checks. (Learn more »)
VIP Primary Care
Located in a private setting in the David K. Miller Building on the Grider Street Campus, patients ages 18 and up can receive primary care at ECMC with noted area doctor Dr. Howard Sperry. (Learn more »)
