Or FRA! (Which, incidentally, often only provides stairs as the default option within the terminal, for remote boarding, etc....you really get a full-body workout when carrying a trolley!)

Agreed -- can't say this enough: really appreciate all the frequent LGA travelers sharing pics!

It's so much fun to see the process unfolding in real time.

They are building a new passenger pickup area that I attached a picture of in my earlier reply.

To Dave456’s point, this bus stop has been there for quite a while. There is no wall of windows, just a nice sleek metal wall. The windows in the pictures I took of the connector are a level above.

So the windows seen from the airside under the connector from head house to 60-79 is not that walkway?

Exactly! Those windows are still a level above arrivals. What you’re seeing out of the new connector windows is the temporary walkway to the 60s that hasn’t been taken down yet.

That makes sense. I still haven't figured out what both of those windows are from your picture below. Are they offices? I think the 2nd circle are the office rooms behind the advertising screens down the escalators, and there are these same office rooms in the 70-79 concourse as well.

And second photo more offices as well above 92-98 I am guessing.

I love the art in b and the support of local artists. C is a bit bland aka Marriott style but delta consistent.

B is such a wonderful terminal, almost perfect with a lot of interesting aspects. My only complaint would be, I think they should have put Baggage claim on ground level and opened it up instead of having two arrivals levels with a baggage claim height smaller than it could have been, compared to EWR A and LGA C. And, they should switch to the new Port Authority Signage. It may just be me but those Port Authority signs bring me back to the (not so good airport) JFK experiences of the late 2000's/early 2010's days.

Great questions! I don't know what's in those rooms behind the screens in the 70s and 80s gates, but my guess is offices/rest facilities.

Regarding, the picture you included of the 90s gates - those actually aren't windows. It's all ventilation. The central utility plant for Terminal C is located above the 90s concourse (formerly known as Concourse G in Port Authority docs). All of that space is for cooling towers, chillers, heat pumps, etc. You can read about it in some of the construction documentation that was submitted to PANYNJ.

And I believe they put it there to save space AND protect from flooding in case Flushing Bay or associated rains flood the ramp (which could have happened if utilities were at ground level). You'll also notice they built flood walls along the bay..I really think they did a great job with the windows overlooking Flushing Bay including Citi Field and Arthur Ashe Stadium. Where else do you get that kind of view at an airport?
